What are the directions to Valley Sky?Depending on which way you are travelling from, there are a few different routes you can take to get to Valley Sky. *DO NOT take Exit 8A towards Fielding Rd to get to Valley Sky. This is a treacherous back road, and will not lead you to the domes. We are actively working on resolving this directional issue with Google Maps, so until then, please use Exit 9 or 10 by following the directions below. Exit 9 (Avonport): - Follow Highway 101 towards Exit 9 (Avonport) - Take the 4th exit off the roundabout, towards Gaspereau Valley - Follow Gaspereau River Rd. for approximately 5 kilometers - Turn left onto Grand Pre Rd. at the white church - Continue driving up Grand Pre Road for approximately 3 kilometers - Turn left at the end of the road. You will see the Valley Sky sign up the gravel driveway Exit 10 (Grand Pre): - Follow Highway 101 towards Exit 10 (Grand Pre) - Turn right off the ramp towards the stop sign - Turn right at the stop sign onto Ridge Rd. - Follow Ridge Rd. for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach a stop sign - Turn left from the stop sign onto Grand Pre Rd. - Follow Grand Pre Rd. until you reach a stop sign - Turn right from the stop sign onto Gaspereau River Rd. - Follow Gaspereau River Rd. and make a left turn onto Grand Pre Rd. (at the white church) - Continue driving up Grand Pre Rd. for approximately 3 kilometers - Turn left at the end of the road. You will see the Valley Sky sign up the gravel driveway *Once you drive past Luckett Vineyards, Valley Sky is approximately 2 kilometers up the road. To avoid driving past the Valley Sky driveway, begin reducing your speed to ensure that you make the turn. Safe travels!

Is Valley Sky open year-round?Yes, we are! Our accommodations and amenities (such as the hot tub) are equipped for all-season use and comfort. Valley Sky is a great place to enjoy a summer evening in the hot tub, or to watch the winter snow fall while sitting by the fireplace. A heat pump is installed in each dome to ensure the domes stay a comfortable temperature, no matter what the season. Additionally, we supply an oscillating fan to further cool the dome, and blankets and a propane fireplace for additional warmth.

Is there a minimum night stay at Valley Sky Glamping?We have waved our minimum night stay for the moment. Subject to change. Single nights are available.

What are your office hours and contact information?We can be reached via email (info@valleysky.ca), and do our best to reply within a few hours. We encourage you to contact us through email anytime, and we will get back to you as soon as we can! Additionally, the Valley Sky reservation office is open from 9am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Please call 902-385-2267 if you have any questions about existing or creating reservations. If you are a guest currently staying at Valley Sky with questions regarding amenities and the property, please use the contact information listed in your dome, cabin or guest suite.

How many people can be accommodated?Each dome has two queen sized beds, which can accommodate up to 4 adults. We do not offer cots, bassinets, or rollaway beds. An extra charge of $30 per person above two guests will apply. The Orchard Cabin is wheelchair accessible has one king sized bed, and can accommodate two guests.

What is provided for guests of Valley Sky?Aside from all of the usual amenities that you would expect of a private accommodations rental such as pillows, blankets, housecoats and linens, here's a list of essentials and extras that we ensure are ready for your stay: - Dinnerware and utensils - Glassware, including wine glasses - A water cooler in the domes (that dispenses hot and cold water) - A mini fridge, toaster and microwave - A 2-burner glass top hot plate - Dish liquid - A single-serve Keurig and french press - Local coffee, tea, coffee pods, sugar, and cream - A pot and pan - Soap and shampoo - Hairdryer In each dome and cabin you will also find: - Your own private hot tub - A barbecue - Patio furniture - A propane fire table - A propane fireplace - Heat pump with air conditioning - A fly screen door Our accommodations are also equipped with high speed fibre op wifi for our guests to enjoy.

Is Valley Sky wheelchair accessible?Yes! Our Orchard Cabin is fully wheel chair accessible.

Do you allow children?As Valley Sky is an adult only accommodation, the minimum age for guests of Valley Sky is 16.

What is your pet policy?At this time, Valley Sky Glamping does not allow pets. However, service animals with proper documentation are welcome. Please inform us if your service animal will be accompanying you so that we are able to prepare accordingly.

What is your cancellation policy?Valley Sky Glamping is a brand new and niche accommodation and consequently cancellations have a significant impact on operations. Therefore, the following applies to cancellations initiated by a guest for any reason: Should you need to cancel your reservation with Valley Sky Glamping and do so within 7 or more days prior to check in date, you will be refunded your full deposit* *($20.00 Cancellation fee for all cancellations) In the very unlikely event that Valley Sky Glamping is forced to cancel a reservation, guests will be offered their choice of a full refund or reservation change without penalty. Cancelling a reservation is not an action that we would ever take lightly, and would be an absolute last resort in extreme circumstances such as natural disaster, severe weather, pandemic related lockdown, etc.

Is smoking allowed at Valley Sky?Valley Sky Glamping is a non-smoking site. Tobacco products, in any form, are strictly prohibited in the dome or on Valley Sky Glamping property. There will be a $250.00 cleaning charge billed to guests who violate this policy.

What COVID-19 precautions are being taken at Valley Sky Glamping?We are taking the COVID-19 precautions very seriously. Our cleaning staff have completed the provincially and federally recognized "Clean It Right" program. We are contactless check in/out. We have dedicated a lot of time to ensure that our guests feel as safe as possible during their time at Valley Sky. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at info@valleysky.ca.

What are the check in and check out times?Check in time is 3:00 PM and check out time is 10:00 AM.

Can I request an early check-in or late check-out?Yes, you can! Please submit in your request the day of your early check-in/late check out, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Help! My reservation isn't going through!Don't worry! Our booking system will lock dates for 15 minutes once the booking process has begun. This is to avoid double bookings. Please wait 15 minutes before you attempt to book your desired dates again. If you are still having issues, please call our reservation office at 902-385-2267, or email us at info@valleysky.ca.

Can I change the date of my reservation?Requests to amend confirmed reservation dates will be at the sole discretion of Valley Sky Glamping, and subject to availability. Should you wish to change the dates of a reservation, we suggest that you contact us as soon as possible to increase the chances of us being able to accommodate your request. Please note that prices vary throughout the year.

What should I bring with me?Bring whatever you think you will need for an amazing vacation to Nova Scotia! May we suggest the following: - Groceries. There are plenty of delicious food and beverage establishments nearby for guests to dine out. If you'd prefer to enjoy a meal in your accommodation, the dome has a barbeque, mini fridge, and a two-burner hotplate for those who may want to cater for themselves. - Hiking gear. The Annapolis Valley proudly boasts some of the most breathtaking trails on the east coast. With both coastal and inland trails of varying difficulty levels, there is an enjoyable trail for people of all hiking abilities. Be sure to bring along hiking boots, reusable water bottles, and whatever you might need to partake in one of Nova Scotia's most popular activities. - A bathing suit. The hot tub is warmed and ready for guests.

Should I be concerned about ticks during my vacation in Nova Scotia?Guests to Nova Scotia should be aware that there are ticks in the province; but that should not stop travellers from making the most of their vacation! Prevention, diligence, and education about ticks are important tools to reduce the likelihood of tick bites. We suggest that visitors review the province of Nova Scotia’s information page about ticks and download the eTick app, a public platform for image-based identification and population monitoring of ticks in Canada developed by Bishop's University's Dr. Jade Savage.
